At The Beginning

THE HOLIDAY WE HAVE SO BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO HAS FINALLY ARRIVED.

went to the airport early. had to be there by 6am. super early, but tiredness was countered with excitement. excitement won.

met a few people we knew. uncle anil, auntie mira, krti and keva. uncle peter and auntie katherine. uncle sam, auntie lay ling and wan ru. uncle sidney of course. and the rest we did not know. at that time. ;)

registered our lugguage, got our tour packages/booklets/songsheets

and off we were ready for the amazing journey ahead!! =D

meanwhile, while waiting for boarding time to come, uncle sam and family so sweetly decided to surprise my mom with a birthday cake, since it was her birthday. we did it at burger king, and their kind staff even passed us a crown for mom to wear.

boarding time finally came. welcome to cathay pacific. flight there was nice. caught a movie. the day the earth stood still. slightly too futuristic for me. but nice cast haha. food was generally good. for some reason, i've always liked airplane food. most of the time.

Piggie and i on the plane all geared up to to enjoy our holiday

upon reaching hongkong airport, we had to settle our transit check ins, and clear security, which we were told would be extremely serious and almost frightening. it WAS slightly frightening (my first time being gruelled like that), and definitely serious, but apparently, we managed to clear it in a very short span of time. like almost 1 hour it felt? but oh well, praise the Lord nonetheless!

only had 20 minutes to grab a bite, and off we were to the El-Al flight. (seriously, nothing fantastic about hong kong's chee cheong fun) had another random round of security, and there we were, on our 12 hour flight.

that has seriously gotta be the longest flight i've had for a very long time. couldn't take the sitting down. had to stand up quite a bit, but as a result, met some others from the tour at the toilet/pantry area and ended up chit chatting for a bit. nice people left a nice impression. auntie sally, one of the earliest friends i made on that trip :)

movies were rather horrid. or at least, i've watched all the good ones already. so pacified myself with Die Another Day. James Bond movie. with michelle yeoh. rather watchable. better than nothing. food was good too. :)

and ISRAEL came. seriously, i couldn't quite believe it. a dream long-awaited finally came true. I'm in my Lord's land!!

it was already night. we were "tired" from the ride. not sleepy tired because there was simply too much sleep on the plane and too much energy oozing out. boarded the bus, upon which we were told that our seating places would be fix for the rest of our journey. we were at the back. which had its perks i guess. ;)

went up to the hotel, Blue Bay Hotel, and knocked out asap as we only had 4 hours of sleep before we started our next day at 630am breakfast, 530am rise and shine.

one interesting thing. my sis took this picture, cos it was rather fascinating..
